Long time....

So much has been going on, time just flies by. Well let's see, since the last post we all got sick over spring break :( We had Avery's first birthday party. I can't believe how fast she is growing! Easter was great. The kids had a blast hunting for eggs. Caleb turned 12, WOW. Teenage years are quickly approaching us. I ran my half marathon! One of the coolest things I've ever done. I also raised $1600 for the leukemia and lymphoma society!! The kids will be out of school in just a few weeks. My very intelligent husband is going to grad school and will be beginning that process this summer. And, my hubby, brother-in-law, sister-in-law, and myself are about to start training to run White Rock in December! That's the quick update!! Now on to post some pictures :)

Out and about

Well, I got up this morning and got my 6 mile run in!!! Yeah!!! Who knew you could burn 1,000 calories in one workout?!? Definitely not me :) After running I had so much energy that I wanted to try and get some errands done today. Sounds like an easy task, but I've actually never tried to go anywhere with two little ones! Ayden had been sick and couldn't be around lots of people for so long, that every time the boys were over I would literally not go anywhere! So... today was the day. Loaded up Ayden and Avery and headed out to Target. They are such good kids, they were perfect :) Only problem, how do you shop when you have two kids who need to ride in the cart??? Couldn't figure out how to do it on my own, had to call in back up.. Ita :) I don't know how you guys do this??? Here are a couple of pics from our little outing.

It's quiet

It's quiet here, so I thought I would blog. What a weekend! My poor little Ayden was sick all weekend. Not really sure what's going on, but hoping it's just something he ate at school on Friday. My husband is such a great dad. I love watching him with the kids. Ayden didn't want anything but his daddy and Efrain stayed by his side the entire weekend. He has the purest heart I've ever seen in anyone. Please pray that this is nothing more than a stomach bug!!

We were up sooo late Friday that I missed my team training :( I have to try to squeeze in 5 miles tomorrow :((( I should probably even try to do a little bit more than what is on the training schedule for this week. Otherwise... I am afraid for next Saturday and the big 6!!!

Well, I've got some video of Avery walking. It isn't the first steps and actually she is walking much better than what is on this video. Why is it that every time you pick up the camera kids stop doing whatever cute they were doing before??? Hope everyone has a great week!!!

Oh, running

Well, 4 miles was on the training schedule for today and.... whew! That really sums it up :) My right shin is wanting to give me some problems but I fought through it today. Hopefully that didn't do anything too terrible. Tomorrow is a rest day, so maybe by Monday I will be good to go again!

Avery's walking is really getting GOOD :) I do have a video from about a week ago when she first started taking more than a step or two, but it is almost 9 minutes long. I am still trying to figure out how to just take a minute or two to post, but I am obviously a huge dork and can't figure it out! Fingers crossed, video to come soon!!

UPDATE

I know it's been a while since I've posted anything, we've been having some computer issues but now we are back in business!!! We surpassed Ayden's one year anniversary with no issues. He was released from his social isolation that we have been under forever, and now is enrolled in school!!! We are so blessed!!! Avery recently started taking her first steps which is very exciting!!! Since my last post I have decided instead of doing the Cowtown race that I would join Team in Training. This is an organization that raises money for the leukemia and lymphoma society. With everything we went through with Ayden, I just felt like I needed to give back somehow and help others. My race is a half marathon in May. So that means I will be running 13.1 miles!! Crazy, huh?!?! I am very excited and nervous all at the same time. Please visit my website through TNT and donate anything you can. It is all tax deductible and the money raised goes to help families with medical bills and research to help find a cure!
