Alex's first day of 6th grade

Alex's first day of sixth grade was this past Wednesday. I can't believe how big my baby boy is getting. I found some pics from his first day of school ever! Can you believe these were taken exactly 7 years ago?!? What a cutie :)

He is becoming such a wonderful young man. I am so proud of him!!

This past Friday the hubby and I took the kids to the circus. We all had a great time, despite the fact that Avery only lasted about 15 minutes! Maybe next year she will be able to enjoy it more :)

Avery's painting session

We had some new pics taken of Avery a few weeks ago and I thought I would share. I think this was day 4 of her being sick. Every time I have pictures scheduled, Avery gets sick!! Heather always does such an AMAZING job and works her magic. I am so glad we found her. Thanks Heather!!! They are beautiful :)

Happy Birthday Alex!!!!

I can not believe that 11 years ago today at around 10 a.m. I went into labor for the first time!! I was in labor ALL day and finally went to the hospital around 7 p.m. They monitored me for a couple of hours and then said go home, it will stop. Well, it did not stop!! And I went back to the hospital around 12 a.m. Now at 36 weeks and 4 days pregnant, on July 20, 1999, at 5:39 a.m. my beautiful baby boy was born. Weighing in at 4 pounds 15 ounces and 18 1/2 inches long. He was so tiny. You would never know by looking at him today what a little guy he was. Happy birthday to the most wonderful caring child anyone could ever ask for. You make me a better person and I love you more than you will ever know!!!

Avery's 15 month checkup

We went to the doctor on Monday for Avery's check up. She said that I pretty much have a two year old!! Weighing in at 27 pounds 13 ounces she is in the 95% for her age. She was 33 1/2 inches tall, which is off the charts for height!! My baby is getting too big too fast. She is such a sweetheart, always giving hugs and kisses. Nothing makes my day better than when she throws her little arm around my neck to pull me close to her. I wish I could stop time and keep her this age forever.

Sooo much to do

Ugh, why are there never enough hours in the day?? Oh yeah, because I procrastinate. I only work 3 days a week and still cannot seem to get everything done. I have a list of things to do tomorrow. So many changes coming for our family. With the hubby in school, Alex changing schools, and trying diligently to keep this budget in order.... I'm exhausted just thinking about it. Have you read "The Total Money Makeover"?? It's very inspiring and overwhelming. I need instant gratification, so I am also in need of constant reassurance why I am doing this.

On a much lighter note... My little princess is growing up way too fast. In the last week she has learned how to throw away trash. I know sounds kind of crazy, but it was so cute the first time. I asked her if she was all done with her cereal bar and she just looked at me. I kept repeating myself and at some point said "all done, it's trash??". She snatched it from my hand so I assumed she wasn't done. 30 seconds later I hear her grunting and go to see what the commotion is about to find her on tip-toes trying to put it in the trash! Now it's her new thing that she loves. Anytime something needs to be thrown away, princess Avery has to do it!

If that wasn't enough, she now also loves to sit on the potty!! If we pass the bathroom she wants to go in and sit down. I really wish she would stop getting so big :(
